Shell today opens its first Lubricants Technical Service Centre (TSC) in Zhuhai, Guangdong province. Shell customers in China will now have the opportunity to experience first hand our leading lubricants technology capability.

Chinese university teams see impressive results at Shell Eco-marathon Asia 2011
Three Chinese university teams have made new break-though with their prototype cars in Shell Eco-marathon Asia 2011 held at the Sepang International Circuit, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on 7th - 9th July, respectively finishing the third in the internal combustion category and the second in the plug-in electrical mobility category among 93 teams from the region.

Cansolv Technology to Remove SO2 from Major Chinese Coal-fired Power Plant
Shell (NYSE: RDSA) announced today that its Cansolv Technologies Inc. subsidiary (Cansolv) has signed an agreement with Beijing Guodian Longyuan Environmental Engineering Co., Ltd. (GDLY) to license a CANSOLV SO2 Scrubbing System for a new 1.2 GW coal-fired power plant to be built by China Guodian Corporation at Duyun in Guizhou province, P.R.C.

Shell, Shanghai Advanced Research Institute of Chinese Academy of Sciences to demonstrate new syngas technology in China
Shell Global Solutions International B.V. (Shell), Shanghai Advanced Research Institute of Chinese Academy of Sciences (SARI-CAS) and Shanxi Lu’An Group (Lu’An) today signed an agreement to jointly demonstrate a novel “dry reforming” technology that can use or recycle methane and CO2 to produce syngas, the key raw material for a wide range of chemical products and fuels.

Shell and Wison to develop new generation gasification technology
Shell Global Solutions International B.V. (Shell) and Wison Engineering Ltd. (Wison) today announced their agreement to jointly develop a new, low-cost “hybrid” gasification technology demonstration plant in China, to collaborate in the technology’s future design and marketing, and to extend future cooperation to other coal gasification technologies.
